Unlike traditional projectors or mixed reality headsets, holograms offer an unparalleled sense of presence and spatial awareness, enabling users to seamlessly integrate digital objects into their physical surroundings.

Objectives

The main objectives of this holographic AR experience are as follows:

  • Showcase how AR social effects can be easily scaled into a Holographic mixed-reality experience
  • Demonstrate the ability of holograms to enhance existing  interactions such as virtual meetings, conferences, interactive installations, e-commerce, virtual art, interactive games, and educational content.
  • Inspire and engage users by providing a realistic and engaging experience that blurs the line between the physical and digital worlds.

Methodology

This prototype was built using a simple led display to cast an AR experience on plexiglass sheets and interact with the experience using a mobile camera. The experience is designed to be accessible from multiple angles, ensuring a highly immersive and interactive encounter with holographic content.
